What NDIS is?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of assisting people with a disability to get the support they need, achieve their human rights, and participate in the social and economic life of the nation. NDIS is the new way of providing individualised support for people with disability, their families and carers. It is an insurance scheme that recognises that investing in people with disability early improves individual and societal outcomes later in life. Key outcomes for NDIS participants include overall increased independence with greater participation in employment, the economy, society and community life.

The NDIS is a structure that aims to improve the lives of people living with disability in Australia. If you or someone you know has a disability, the NDIS may be able to provide you funding to assist you in your daily life and help to participate in the community and achieve your goals. The aim of the NDIS

The introduction of the NDIS will reshape the way in which people with disability access the support they need to achieve their goals and participate fully in community life. The aim of the NDIS is to support people with a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. The NDIS gives people with disability more choice and control over how, when and where their support is provided and gives certainty in receiving the support they need over their lifetime. People with psychosocial disabilities are also able to access support through the NDIS. A psychosocial disability is one where people have significant and permanent functional impairments related to mental health issues.

NDIS or the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims at supporting Australians with disability, along with their families and carers. The goal of this scheme is to give you choice and control over managing and achieving your life goals and being able to flexibly access your funded supports. NDIS Service Providers like us follow the guidelines as laid out by the NDIA, to ensure that best suited care is provided to participants as per their needs and goals.
